Our Story
Project Beyond the Game began with a simple realization: young athletes need support for who they are beyond their performance on the court or field.
How It All Began
The idea grew from my experience as an educator, youth mentor, business leader, and coach working closely with students — particularly young people who were talented and capable athletes but sometimes struggled with academics, behavior, accountability, confidence, or consistency. I saw athletes surrounded by people invested in developing their physical abilities, while far fewer resources were dedicated to developing the student and person behind the athlete.
What initially began as an idea to provide tutoring and mentorship to youth athletes quickly developed into something much bigger. Project Beyond the Game was created to intentionally connect academic success, life skills, behavioral accountability, mentorship, and personal development with the structure and motivation young people already find through sports.
The program uses individualized goals, progress monitoring, tutoring, mentorship, and collaboration with families, coaches, and educators to help young people recognize that success extends far beyond a scoreboard.
Beginning with youth athletes in Las Vegas and Phoenix, our vision is to build a model that can eventually serve schools, athletic organizations, community programs, and young people across the country. Because the game may open doors — but who a young person becomes beyond the game determines what they do once those doors open.
Our Mission
To develop student-athletes who succeed in the classroom, excel in their sport, and lead with purpose in life — through individualized support, mentorship, and practical life-skills development.
Our Vision
A generation of student-athletes who are as prepared for life as they are for competition.
Our Core Values
Accountability
We hold athletes to a higher standard — and give them the support to meet it.
Excellence
We don't settle for average. In the classroom or on the field, we pursue the best version of every athlete.
Community
We are stronger together. Our program builds bonds between athletes, families, mentors, and schools.
Integrity
We do the right thing — even when no one is watching. That's the foundation of every champion.
Empowerment
We don't just help athletes succeed — we give them the tools to own their success.
Resilience
Champions aren't built in comfort. We teach athletes to push through adversity and come out stronger.
The Team Behind the Mission
Our coaches, mentors, and educators have walked the path. They bring real experience, genuine care, and an unshakeable belief in every athlete they serve.
